As you prepare for graduation, there are a few important tech-related reminders to make sure you don’t lose access to your work, files, or tools after you leave Sora. You can reach out to techsupport@soraschools.com with any questions!
Access to Sora Tools
Shortly after graduation, your access to the following will be removed:
Sora Home
Heartbeat
Your Sora Gmail account (
firstname.lastname@soraschools.com
)Any tools that use your Sora Google account (e.g., Google Drive, Canva, IXL)
Rosetta Stone
This typically happens a few days after graduation, so don’t wait until the last minute to review and download anything important.
What You Should Do Before Graduation
Take some time to review your Sora accounts and save anything you’ll want access to after graduation. Here are the key areas to check:
Google Drive
Visit your Google Drive and download any important files or projects you've created. Be sure to:
Export documents in formats you can access later (PDF, Microsoft Word, etc.).
Consider using Google Takeout to export your entire Google account, including email and Drive files.
Check shared folders and class materials for anything you may want to keep.
Sora's team is not able to retrieve files for you after you graduate, so make sure you download anything you may need!
Canva
You won’t be able to access Canva through your Sora Google account after graduation. We recommend:
Transferring ownership or downloading any designs you want to keep.
Following Canva’s guide for step-by-step instructions.
Sora Home
If you want to keep records of your learning journey:
Save task submissions, advisor feedback, or other highlights from your time at Sora.
Take screenshots or download documents where possible, especially from your profile or task history.
Accounts Linked to Your Sora Email
Log into Sora's other tools that use your Sora Google account to sign in, like IXL or Zoom, to download or check on any work you've completed.
If you signed up for other platforms using your @soraschools.com
email address:
Export or save important work from those platforms.
Check if you’ll need to transfer any subscriptions, files, or settings.
Rosetta Stone
Access to Rosetta Stone is revoked along with other Sora tools shortly after you graduate. If you have questions about your Rosetta Stone progress, you can contact rosettastonesupport@soraschcools.com.
Extra Tips
Update Your Contact Info: If you'd like to stay in touch with Sora or receive alumni updates, make sure we have your personal email address.
Unsubscribe from Unneeded Services: If you used your Sora account to sign up for newsletters or apps, you might want to unsubscribe or delete those accounts.
